Cistern (stylized as cistern) is a validation service focused on innovation.

With decentralization being a key tenet of the Eigenlayer vision, cistern is exploring novel mechanisms for how governance can be used to decentralized the role of a validator – which has traditionally been a very centralized entity.

Governance will be able to decide the reward policy and the risk aspects involved in Eigenlayer, along with choices for which AVSs to delegate to.
